We visited the National Arboretum in DC a few days after Christmas. All the trees! The bonsai are a crowd pleaser.

There is art everywhere. Natalie gave us a short lesson on Christmas fern (below), which you can identify based on its stocking shaped leaves. Very seasonally appropriate!

We wandered down the path to a gate that brought us to the Anacostia River. Mowgli fell in a few minutes after the picture was taken below.
