around the house
Some miscellaneous shots from the last few months. In all cases it's likely I was in the midst of doing something useful, like eating breakfast or vacuuming, when distracted by the sunlight, etc.
last NYC visit
From way back in March when we were last in the city.
Snowy view from the top floor of the New Museum. Rooftop water towers are an old favorite. |
Another old favorite I was delighted to happen upon: the quiet and splendid artwork of Felix Gonzalez-Torres. |
I appreciated these torquoise tights in a sea of black and white. |
Much too serious to be riding in a giant neon mirrored elevator! |
Until next time, beautiful dirty city! |
winter seems like a long time ago
Battlefield
I lost the battery charger for my DSLR months ago and finally replaced it today - there were lots of old pictures trapped on my memory card! Here are some from when Mom, Laura, and Natalie were visiting after Christmas. We went for a stroll in Manassas on a winter's day.
I liked this gnarled tree.
Mom and Laura getting the history.
The fields go on for ages.
We poked around this old house.
No ghosts to speak of.
We walked up and down the hills and it was a fine day.
